Seems to be the place for this. As well as my 63 PV544 and 86 740GLE turbo-diesel, I have now aquired a 1968 Austin Mini Estate(that's station wagon in Limey talk) 1000cc and front discs. It was my youngest brother's car but after he was killed my second youngest brother kept it all these years and is now trimming down his collection so gave me the mini. Haven't had a chance to really look at it yet because of the weather and he did a good job of wrapping it up in my back yard. I would like to find an Austin America 1300cc engine for it. If anyone knows the whereabouts of one that is running or rebuildable, I would appreciate you dropping me a line.

Did you get a "mini" boner Matt?

Matt used to be a mini guy before he was a Volvo guy...

Both Dale and I were, but my Mini was my first car and I think we all have a special attachment to those.

Yup...had Minis before I had Volvos...a bunch of them. I had a Woody Wagon with front disc brakes too- a yellow one.

If anyone wants a real Cooper S with 5000 original miles on it, let me know. It's not cheap but it's completely original, right down to the air in the tires...

Sorry guys...no pictures. It's not mine. I don't have access to it. Craig and Greg saw it a 2 years ago under a dust cover. It's white and is, quite possibly, the finest untouched Cooper S in existence.

Just for S&G, how much is "not cheap"?

I think they are asking $25,000 for it, but don't quote me on that...

Found a 1974 Mini Cooper from California on eBay with 67,000 miles with a good bit of restoration and they want 17,900$.

When I was in high school a friends father had one. It was past fun to drive (or rather be driven around in).
