I think they are asking $25,000 for it, but don't quote me on that...

You can quote me on that. The car was sold for $25,000.

Boy, wasn't expecting that much reaction. Guess I'm backwards, I started w/ a 61 B16 544, then the 63 B18 that I'm rebuilding, then 3 diff 145s as family grew, now my 740TDI daily driver THEN I got an Austin Mini. Go figure.
By the way, my brother has a built Austin Mini Cooper on Kijiji rite now for $3400 with fresh engine that's been massaged. Got dual SUs on it but a 45mm Weber comes with it. Go to Medicine Hat on Kijiji. It needs paint and detailing but it's nice. I would get it myself but don't need 5 cars on lot

Here is a pic of my 68 mini estate that I just got a few weeks ago, nothing done to it yet. Trying to find a generator and regulator for it. That's all that's missing. Once we get those an oil change tune up and tires should put it on road.

This is my brother's 76 mini cooper that's up for sale on Medicine Hat Kijiji. Engine massaged a little more than normal with very little miles on engine, 10"mags but wheels openings widened for wider tires. As you can see, not much left to do. So all you nostalgia fans out there, grab it while you can, it's a steal at $3400

Will he trade for my 780?

By the way, there were no Coopers between '71 and '94 or so. The dates I might have wrong by a year or so (the '71 may have been a 1275GT) but lots of people call these things "Coopers" so I'll let that slide. It was a Mini 1000 when it left the factory.

I'm not kidding about the trade...

That's what I said, it's a ''built'' mini cooper complete with a cooper head. For more details, look at Medicine Hat Kijiji. My brother has been a BMC mechanic for decades and I'm sorry but the closest he's come to owning a Volvo is that he has installed a turbo-B21SOHC into an MGB which he's still working on. He's also building a Lotus 7 from scratch. He's already built the frame' modified a SuzyQ GTI engine to install longitudinally through a Tracker tranny to a corolla rear. Now building front A arms &suspension.

I do have a confession to make. Don't oust me from club for it tho. My first car was a 51 Austin Devon and my second was a 53 Austin Sommerset then I went Volvo with the B16 1961 PV544 and I am not ashamed to admit it. :D

Hey, we had a 1951 Austin when I was a kid. I think it came between a 1939 Plymouth and a 1953 Plymouth, which was followed by a 1962 Austin, first car they bought new (hmmm, looks like a pattern...) then Beetles after we moved to the NWT.

Ah okay, gotcha. I called mine "cooperized".

And you beed to talk to your brother and enlighten him. He NEEDS a good car, and nothing says "good car" like a 25 year old Italian bodied French powered Volvo. Hey, I'm the one willing to take a Mini off his hands -I've even owned one before so I know what kind of trouble they are. I'm considerate that way...

Thanks! I typed "mini" in the search bar but it never came up.

ETA: Just noticed it's listed in "Classic" cars, must have just selected cars and trucks...

Sorry Jim, forgot to mention it was under classic cars. Heck, if people are putting 86 Grand Paresiennes under classic cars (like I don't think so) then an Austin mini would def b a classic, not?!

Sorry Ugly Duck but I don't think you have a chance especially if it has the PRV V6 in it. He's British and Japanese all the way except for the turbo-Volvo red block engine only. Hasn't even tried to get my 544 off me. I'll talk to him but if you hear loud laughter coming from dir of the Hat, you will have ur answer. LOL :)
