I was asking about turbo-ing a B20 and sticking it in my PV544. I thought it would be neat to still have the old push-rod engine in the car instead of stuffing a redblock in it. Found this YouTube video of a guy that did just that with a 142 and still drives it on the street. Here's the URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqzDCkZh7fM . I tried uploading the video in MP4 format but it didn't seem to want to do it. This guy's ticket reads 10.95sec at 201 probably kph. I wanna do it now. yeah, yeah, yeah! [-o<

Jens built that car years ago. You're not going to come close to what he has done without taking out a 2nd mortgage on the house though. I have a turbo manifold for a B20 if you'd like to get started though...

The original redblock was, of course, the push rod engine...anyway - you can turbo charge anything you like and the bottom end of a B20 is massive and they didn't come with very high compression in most instances. Do a proper rebuild and convert to EFI and you're on your way. 200 hp should be easy.

This guy in the 142 is pushing over 450hp and still drives it on the street but there's no details cause it's in Swedish. That would make quite a street 544 but I would imagine I would have to take out a second mortgage but my brother's turbo charged a few cars so he should be able to help. Even has plans for making your own management board and system but I think I may have to return to reality sometime.
:)
