Yeah, I was wondering about that Craig...I figured the science to predict peaks would have been more accurate than it was. Ridiculous. It got pushed back how many times? To miss by two days is pretty bad. But I guess if you just have a bunch of random dudes instead of scientists calling the shots, I guess that's what happens. Medicine Hat is having the same thing happen to them.

Damn, sorry Paul! I hope Bert & Jacks lands on its feet.

I'm wondering about Brad - I think he built a house in Bowness? Dale knows better. Roj's house is probably a LOT closer to the river too. And Athal - so sorry, man!

Brad doesn't have the house in Bowness anymore. He'll be high and dry where he is although the gully that 45th St crosses right by his house could have some water in it...

I imagine the peak was delayed due to all the basements that got filled along the way.

No problems at all anywhere in Parkdale. I'm higher up in Parkdale so no danger here but not even the people right down along the river in Parkdale were evacuated. Parts of Montogmery and Bowness upstream of us and parts of West Hillhurst or Hillhurst and Sunnyside just downstream of us were all impacted to some degree but Parkdale, right in the middle of all that was not. We owe it to the high banks along our stretch of the river. The water got within about a meter or 2 of breaching those banks but not really close. We are very fortunate.

Very sorry to hear of the problems others are having with the floods and very sorry to Bert & Jack's. I had an appointment to get the 940 T worked on Monday morning. Guess that's not going to happen. :-(
