Bit of water in the garage - but otherwise fine.

Posted on FB but drove through torrential rains for 3 hours yesterday on the way to Billings (in a Bizzarrini). Light show was continuous for at least that long and maybe longer. Even after we got out of the rain, the light show continued to the east. I've never seen that much lightning...ever. Both quantity and quality. Just nuts. I feel sorry for the people further east though...

Nothing yet. Fortunately my garage is a little bit above alley level, as I'm at the bottom of a small hill, and the alley tends to turn into a river.
I sat on a cliff overlooking the river tonight, hoping to see the surge come from the newly opened Oldman Dam, but nothing came. Peak is apparently coming tomorrow afternoon. Hardly anyone lives down in that river valley, which is good. Checked both cars, and can't see any hail damage either, which is fortunate, as I thought there might be.

I haven't been in my garage (wrecked my back on the weekend and life in the way) but it's always wet anyway, otherwise we're dry. One brother had to evac his GF and all her pets, and my other brother had to evac himself. Roberta and Amber are both staying home due to school closures.

Did you get to ride in that Masarati, Jordan? Never thought I'd see one in Canada.

All dry here. We got the hail as well, but from the pics I saw from Lethbridge not as bad, although it knocked a lot of pebbling off the shingles.

Dad had to leave the house in Sunnyside. Pics on facebook this morning from my cousins house across the street: they have a good two feet in their basement so I don't think we will be any better:(

If you guys need any help with anything, just let me know what/how I can help and it will work out. They've just issued a flood warning for the north sask river here. I'm pretty high from there.

No Matt I didn't go for a ride in it. No one knows who it is. It had Cali played on it. It sounded amazing. The owner of the dealer has a few bentlies a Lamborghini and Ferrari. We also have on trade an 02 996 turbo. That I drove a bit and is pretty amazing

Damn, sorry Paul! I hope Bert & Jacks lands on its feet.

I'm wondering about Brad - I think he built a house in Bowness? Dale knows better. Roj's house is probably a LOT closer to the river too. And Athal - so sorry, man!

Good thing we sold the bowness house!

By noon yesterday the water in my cousins basement was over six feet deep...I just hope the damage is limited to our basement, the insurance situation is not looking good.

That's what happens when you get rid of all your environment government people...flood peak was missed by just about 2 days. Brilliant.

Sorry to hear about B&J's.
