Greetings-another new member from Calgary!
Just picked up a 1998 S70 T5 and love the car so far.
Possibly was owned by a member here? Was listed for sale on Kijiji and I had to have it.
Pics...

First thing I did was peel off all the stickers it had on it.
And I am in the market for an inexpensive set of 17" winter rims as I don't want to run the Comets in winter.
Anyway hope to meet some of you soon!

Welcome!

Why 17 inch winters? 16 are cheaper and get more gooder traction..

I have a set of Michelin Alpin in size 215 45 17 that came with the car. Alas no rims so that's why I need 17s.

Can't help you unfortunately. I'm looking for 17's myself.

So what do you have and are you willing to part with a set?
Looking at a set of Almatheas from the US but would like to keep my money in Canada if possible.

One set is for my 740 and the other for my 122. At this point, neither is for sale...

It kind of sounded like an offer to me too, Ian. If memory serves correctly, Dale has three sets of FWD offset wheels, 2 sets of 17 and 1 set of 16 inch, and a whoooole lot of spacer-adapters to make them fit RWD cars. I can't think of anyone right now with a set of 17" FWD wheels laying around not doing anything. There must be one or two of our inactive or less-active members with a rim stockpile, guys who never actually sell anything, if you know what I mean.

The 16s are Ford offset so 35mm or something like that, so not really Volvo RWD or FWD offset. They're holding the 122 off the ground right now with 5 year old tires with no miles on them. Time to swap them on to the 240 next spring I'm thinking...
