Does anyone know of a popular place to try to get the short 25 amp Euro-style fuses? I have tried a few electrical/parts places here in Regina, but have been unable to locate any. I usually get the wide eyes "wtf is that" look.

The reason why...I was rolling down the road in my 131 and decided to try the wipers for the first time. Very shortly after, the wipers quit in mid swipe, the AMP light came on, I lost reading on my fuel and temp gauges, but the car kept running. I made extra sure to ease the car home (not a far distance luckily), and discovered the 25 amp short fuse was blown.

I think I have a fault in the wiper wiring somewhere. I haven't had time to look into it too deeply (house renos take precedence atm), but I do know I need some new fuses. I found the long 8 and 16 amper's at Canadian Tire. I know Olof sells the shortys, but I would hate to place a cross-Canada order for such a small part.

As well, does anyone know the correct top-to-bottom installation sequence for the fuses? Is it 25-8-8-8? I had a mix of 25, 8 and 16 in the same fuse box. I feel I am starting to right the wrongs on this car...

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Your best bet it to shorten a regular length 25 amp (in a pinch) by folding the foil, don't have it touch, but put a kink in it. I've done this in the early days and it works until you either get a shorty or modify the fuse box to hold a regular length long 25 amp fuse. I don't recall all the fuse ratings for the circuits, but they are a mix of amperages.

I'll do that up for sure! I think I know what to do now. Thanks! I have a long list now in to Olof, and asked him to throw in a couple shortys.
I shall:
1) repair the fuse and mod the fuse box
2) rip my wipers apart and make sure all works properly.

I checked the SwEm site and he lists a possible cause for the blown fuse, and lists a procedure to clean the wipers out. I'll give that a shot, since nothing went wrong until my wiper curiosity killed the car.
Until I check and verify, no wiping action will commence.
