Hi Guys. We have room for about 20 guys for a collection tour on Nov 6 at 7:00. It would be nice to get out for a bit of a social evening. I realize it's not terribly convenient for the out of town guys. If you haven't seen the collection and you're a car guy, you really need to see it. If you have seen it, you know what I'm talking about. Let me know as I'm inviting others and have a ceiling of about 20 right now. Cost is a $25 donation, which is matched and then turned over to AARC...

Thanks!

Seriously? No one is interested? This is not your stereotypical collection of boring old muscle cars (although there are those too- not the boring part but the muscle car part). This is the largest and most diverse collection in Canada. Check it out...

http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/det ... -more.html

Those are just a few of the cars in the collection. There are over 70. There are cars you've never heard of and a bunch of one-off cars you won't see anywhere else. If you're a car guy, you won't be disappointed. Ask anyone who's been through- you can't just go once. We've got people who have been through 5 and 6 times and every time catch something they missed previous times. Most people not only marvel at the collection of cars but at the presentation by the owner. Every car has a reason it's there and a story behind how it got there. It's 3 hours of time and $25 out of your pocket you'll never regret spending.

Let me discuss with the wife and make sure there are no family plans for that night (aside from Survivor Night).
So that makes me a maybe. Will confirm by tonight.

It sounds like a go for me so count me in.
Also a good opportunity to meet some members.

I'll PM you some information shortly. At this point we have lots of space so feel free to invite a friend or two. Let me know.

Doesn't work for me this time. Been through the tour once. Just to add my two bits that this is more that worth the time and money, incredible collection and history lesson.

Won't make it. Spent 45 minutes in traffic and still in SE Calgary. Should have allowed more time. Was looking forward to it!

Another two dates opened up with room. Nov 28th and Dec 3rd.

I can't believe the "car guys" in the group who haven't been out aren't jumping at this opportunity. We've got people who have been through 5 and 6 times because they can't get enough cool cars and cool stories. Andy has been out at least 4 times in the last year alone. You're not going to spend $25 on 3+ hrs of entertainment and come away with your head spinning like this anywhere else. You aren't going to see 5 Kurtis (google Kurtis 500KK or 500SX) at one time anywhere else on the planet. Nor will you see 5 DeTomasos, none of which are Panteras, anywhere else. How about 5 Lamborghinis, the newest of which is a Countach (which, incidentally, has 1800 original km on it)? An F40? The worlds finest big block Cobra? 2 GT40s? Not to mention muscle cars that will make your head spin. There are likely a dozen cars that are 1 of 10 (or less) made and another 5 or 6 prototypes and 1 of 1 cars. These are real cars, not "tribute", replica or kit cars.

The stories from the owner about how and why these cars were acquired are nearly as interesting as the cars themselves.

As usual, space is limited. Let me know if you want to come out...

I know at least some of them and know they are car guys. They build them for chrissake. When my 73 year-old mother goes through and thinks it's pretty cool, I can't think of why anybody with even the slightest interest in cars wouldn't jump at the chance. I dunno :-? ...guess I'll stop askin'.

I was kidding…keep asking. I can't make it up normally. I'm sure they're busy.
