Not Volvo related, but I'm looking for a good reputable place for a more than stock trans overhaul for the 4l60e in my truck. Anyone have any experience with a shop around the Red Deer/Calgary areas? Trying to find a reputable shop before I drop money on anything.

I had pretty good luck with "A1-Alberta Transmission" who solved a major metallic noise problem in my 2001 XC70 -- proved to be the bearings in the transfer case, and NOT the transmission, but they flushed the tranny too and made sure that it was shifting perfectly after all the bearings were replaced. Reasonable price. Turns out that that transfer case is more trouble than the actual transmission much of the time.
