Kamloops-Hinton sunday: 38.6L for 514km

By the way, I think that you're using imperial gallon, not us gallon...

Yes, I know I was using Imperial gallons in my conversion - it was requested that I do so. I also converted them to US gallons for others to know.

You averaged 33.6 miles per imperial gallon, exactly the same as Dale did. Tied for best mileage of the group. Your run from Kamloops to home did it for you.

Edit - the final numbers are thus:
Dale = 33.6, high = 38.3, low = 30.0
Athal = 29.8, high = 32.1, low = 27.0
Andy = 27.9, high = 32.3, low = 24.5
Ian = 19.7, high = 22.1, low = 15.8
Geoff = 29.3, high = 33.1, low = 24.1
Steph = 33.6, high = 37.8, low = 29.8

Some of the early numbers might have been skewed by the fact that we all drove different distances from home to Golden, and we might not have all been as full as we could have been when we left our homes. In between, some of the "highs" and "lows" might have come partly from over- or under-filling the tank (i.e., Dale got his high mark on the same run when he commented "I don't think I got it full")

We all got our best mileage after we left Kamloops for the final time, except for Athal who got his best at his first fill-up. Perhaps not surprisingly, we all got our worst between Squamish and Cache Creek, except for Andy and Geoff who got their worst between Chilliwack and Squamish.

I also don't have any information from Geoff's fuel stops after he left us in Kamloops, or from before he got to Calgary, but I doubt he was taking notes before Calgary... Geoff, if you've got any of that info, I'd be glad to add it.

:D

If anyone really wants to know I made 11 gas stop for a total of $419.15.
that works out to about $0.19 km

Power costs $$... and that was worth every cent. Besides a round of golf can cost over $100 and that only lasts a few hours 8)

Ouch...that's a hefty price tag on a weekend of fun but as you say...hp=$$

By my count I filled 7 times at an average of $30 per for a total of about $210 for fuel. I wasn't burning premium all the time...

Driven under the same condition, Dale's 122 would beat me easily. (lighter car and smaller non-turbo engine)

I have a light foot when I'm alone or not in a rush.

I'd just like to compare how I did and how Athal did between Kamloops and Vancouver on the highway at more normal speed.
