This morning, I tried to install my rear sway bar. I don't have the good wrench!!!

In the last year, I spent more money on tools than on parts and I still don't have what it needs... Do I really need to buy a complete tool box at 5000$ like my brother to do anything or what?

crappy tire or sears half price days.

get a full socket set (with deep sockets), a set of metric wrenches, from 8mm all the way to 24mm (or bigger) and a good set of screwdrivers and you should be able to do anything to your car.

<$500

oh, and buy stock in pblaster or liquid wrench.

t'a oublie putant de sallop bordelle de merde..

Is that the big bolt that goes through the shock? it's probably siezed in the shock anyway and won't go anywhere.

not sure why, but volvo seemed to install those bolts so you'd have to remove it to drop the swaybar. You really need to soak the bolts in a good anti sieze fluid for a few days to minimize your effort.

I thought about it later, but I may have made the job sound too easy- I forgot how much time your car spent in the rust belt

It is normal that I can edit your message?

I dunno, it's one of the twin bolt beside the axle. The head is totally stuck. It is just the rust or is the bolt is welded or a part of the support? I cannot do anything.

well, if it's any consolation, i just busted a fuel filter hooking up a pressure gauge at dales. Had to borrow matts car to drive home to get a spare filter.
Then putting the new filter on, I stripped a fitting so now my car is stranded at dales until i can go to pyp tomorrow and i had to borrow DALE's car to get home.

woot for a counter productive evening.

All the bolts under my car are heavily rusted. Piss me off. Stupid Quebec!

No wonder I don't like mechanic, I always end up frustrated.
