I've heard the VCBC guys can be a bit of the snotty, do-nothing-that's-not-absolutley-stock to their cars types, but we should think about crashing their sept 17/18 meet in the okanagan!

As a former three year member of VCBC, I can definitely concur with what you've heard Athal. At meets and shows, I was often the youngest guy there....and usually the one with the most beat up car! And modifying is not really encouraged. No one EVER talked to me about my car. That sucked. Lots of the guys are nearly-retired or retired, and have lots of time to keep their babies clean. I kinda felt like an outcast for most of my time in the club. Then I discovered Turbobricks. More my thing....

That said, that Osoyoos cruise would be fun! I never made it to their cruises, but there would be lots of nice older cars. The people are friendly enough, and quite knowledgable....just don't talk too much about turbos and dropping the car on 18's...... :D :D :D

I'm thinking that could be a lot of fun. Show up in a bunch of very non-stock Volvos... $10 to register? Cheap like borshch... :D

I think I could talk Beth into it without too much trouble...

dammit Sven! that would be fun to drive up for!

Ah well, I'll hold out for the Cates Park Picnic and Show here, on Sept. 24th... it's an all-day event, from 9:30 to 5pm... I can't wait :D

Great idea Athal
COME ON CVC, LET'S DO THIS !!!!

I have booked our accommodations.
Joan and I are going, we will be leaving on Thursday Sept 14, that way we can partake in the wine tours on Friday Sept 15th. We will be coming home on Sunday Sept 17th after the breakfast.

Who else will be joining us

Damn...peer pressure ... Beth want to go but doubts she can get the Friday off. We'll have to get a little more serious about plans...

Matt? Athal?

Sounds like if I go I'll be on my own or maybe bringing Ben. I wouldn't be leaving until Thursday after work though... The wine tour doesn't intrigue either of us so no big deal if we miss that...
