We won't need you for long, but Dale and I have to move my 242 from his house to my house. It's got no wheels, nor even an axle to bolt them to, but the bare shell is only about 400 lbs - light enough for two people to lift, four people to comfortably carry. I think three of us moved it last time - out the garage door and onto some wooden pallets.

We'll be putting it on a car trailer, hauling it to my house, then unloading it either in my driveway or garage. Garage will be tricky, since it's only got the single doors, but the driveway is uphill and I don't know how far up it we can back the trailer. If we can't get the trailer up the driveway, it'll have to be the garage.

Realistically, we're talking about an hour in total, at about 3:00 on Saturday afternoon. We've got three other cars to move that day and we've got a mess of stuff inside the 242 that needs to get moved first, but hopefully we'll have all that stuff finished before anyone gets to Dale's.

Please respond if you can help, and leave me a phone # where you can be reached in case something falls thru, either here or via PM.

Two other things: If you say you're coming, please do so. We need 4 guys to make this work, and if two say they're coming and only one does, we're screwed. And if you plan on coming, please let us know in advance, don't just drop in. If we don't get enough bodies showing up at Dale's, or if we don't hear from a couple of you before Saturday morning, we'll just forget about the 242 and move onto the next car that needs to get moved, and you'll be showing up at Dale's house for nothing. If we bail on the job and you haven't told us you're coming, we can't phone you to tell you to stay home.

Thanks again!

Yes, I got your PM Vik, and this wasn't meant to say you couldn't come. It just needed to be said because Dale and I need help from 2 guys in the middle of our day for about an hour (meaning Dale and I have something to do AFTER we get your help, so it can't turn into a mini-meet), and that we'd be counting on whoever said they would come TO come. If we get nobody's offer to help, Dale and I can rearrange our schedule but neither of us want to be to blame for someone showing up at Dale's house when we're not planning on being there anymore, due to a lack of communication.

I'll be in the area tomorrow, as I am stupidly grunty (right matt? im strong AND pretty) - I can come by.

I'll be downtown for a planned power-outage at 2PM tomorrow, so I should be more than able to make it for 3PM at Dale's house.

My work cell is 988 2004 if there are any issues with me being a no show (i probably will show thoe, cuz.. you know.. i'm nice and stuff)

So, there - Count me in guys.

- R

Thanks guys! Really appreciate the hand. All told we moved 4 cars today. I lost one and gained one but...

Matt gained 2! Where does he put them all?? :?

Suddenly my driveway seems kinda empty...

Yeah, thanks again, folks. Hopefully the second one isn't permanent, but I have a feeling it'll be around for a bit...

Whew - tough to type this morning.
