these are what I am using in my B21FT, cheapest option, same design as stock B21FT pistons too, but you get 8.5:1 ratio for ideal use with EFI

Get em! \:D/

I posted the link for people who build NEW engines... yes they are cast, so are stock B21FT/ET pistons.

Mahle cast pistons are of the highest quality and flawless in their design and finish. Accordingly I consider them to be as good or close to the quality and durability inherent in most forged pistons available.

Brad, I thought your pistons were of the Kolbenshmidt variety? Mahle B21A and B21FT pistons are definitely different in construction, even though Kolby spec's B21A pistons as B21FT replacement.

Not that I wouldn't run these in a turbo engine, mind you.

Before you start barking too loud...

My wagon has been running cast pistons for 3 years and probably close to 75,000km now. Abused? Yup...every time I drive it. Pings all the time on 87 octane. Nothing wrong with them.

Go ahead...find forged pistons for a B21, or B23 for that matter. Let me know when you find a set sitting on a shelf somewhere...

Dale, our definition of abused differ :)

None the less, no - you're right - as always - ;)

a good cast piston will take alot of beating, but since me having blown up alot of things, i'm starting to take the advice of hardcore porn stars... Too much is almost enough.

Yes Matt, mine are the Kolben variety and first oversize - but I thought they were the same as Mahle in spec?
Raz, a well built and balanced engine in perfect tune makes alot more difference integrally than piston quality. You will blow up anything if it's barely hanging together to begin with...
WTF on the blue shite? Doesn't everybody like Ford Corperate Blue?
