made an in car camera mount that attaches to the passenger seat headrest...works beauty

made an aux. night driving light bar that aligns with the front of the hood...now i just need lights!

made a lower brace a la iPD's design...and Matt you are more right than ever on this one...teh steering response is better, the shock absorbtion is better, cornering, everything! HUGE change!

and finally i "ratchet strapped" the motor a la Geoff's design...HUGE change as well, the car doesn't have the shakes anymore, throttle is more responsive, tranny is easy to shift, cruising at highway speed has also improved, doesn't feel like the car is falling apart anymore

a good saturday for me!

ciao

the lightbar...yes it's strong enough...well i can lift the front of the car up by just the bar brackets without them bending so yeah, i think so anyway...added bonus it holds my grille in!

wow are you guys ever productive!
I finally am selling a set of virgos, and hopefuly one of my extra sets of hydras. Maybe if I sell 3 sets of hydras I can get one good set of geminis. I figure it is about 3 hydras to the gemini...give or take a virgo.
Hopefully I will have room in the garage to put the car in whilst It gets 4.10 gears and an AWeful-72L for the winter while I work out a solution to ditching the heavy flywheel/slipping clutch and re-build the getrag with a nice 3.42:1 first gear. I also get to add a muffler and do a little exhaust work, mount the hakkapelittas on beater 15" steelies or some expendible 15" wheel. This sunday was like the last nice day of summer in portland before it turned pretty bleak and rainy this morning, so I didn't actually get much done apart from listening to music, doing some drawing, thinking and drinking. This is more of a post about what I should have gotten done and didn't this weekend ain't it? Still, I can alteast walk from the front to the back of the garage now...a major accomplishment.

This thread has turned into weekend accomplishments ... cool

Well over last weekend and this Saturday I have turned my back yard into a parking lot. Last weekend the truck and Bobcat came and excavated over 22 yards of dirt out and placed over 20 yards of gravel. Today was compacting day, and many thanks to Raz he packed the sh_t out of all that gravel. It is now like concrete.

The posts are cemented in for the back fence along with a 12' gate to gain access to the yard from the alley.

Next year the gravel pad will be tuned into a patio / parking pad. CVC will have a covered area for their meetings next summer 8)
