anyone ever do this to their throttle cable?

anywho i grabbed a throttle cable/wheel assembly off of a B23E (thinner/better looking design) and put it on the GT...but wow did that shock me when i found it in that state

(ps i also picked up two sirius wheels......with 3 center caps that look like my multi-x center caps...shiny...woot woot)

I snapped my throttle cable on the side of the road in my oldest Audi 5000 (the fwd one) - I had to get to work so I fixed it with some wire from the subwoofer, that lasted 6 months or so, and was on the car when I sold it.
