Stupid question, as always.

How do I know when it's time to change my brake pads? I got a major work on my brakes about 35,000km ago, so the disks and stuff like that should be good.

Pull off your wheel and have a look? The pads are usually 8-10 mm thick, stock - anything less than 2-3 mm and it's probably time to change them.

If you don't have one already, I suggest you get a haynes or chilton or bently manual on your car. It will provide a lot of knowledge to you.
