Whatever you do, stay off the roads! Those people out there don't have a clue how to drive in that stuff and none of them have winter tires. Not only that, it's sticky, heavy stuff and isn't terribly easy to drive in even with good winter tires...

I lay money on at least 75% of the accidents will involve SUV's...

Snow rules!

You're in Vancouver right Kayla?
So many funny stories from there when I lived there and it snowed. I seem to recall them cancelling school for a few centimetres the one time!

I was driving around one night doing doughnuts after some snow, and I helped out a pizza guy who had hit a curb change a tire (free pizza!) and a couple blocks later there was an 18 year old with a brand new e46 3 series sitting sideways on someones front lawn...the front half of the car was lodged in a parked minivan. Sigh. Scary drivers. Dale, you're right though, lots of SUV drivers think they're superheros when it snows. Scary.
Lots of snow here! Good times.

Too late
It only snows maybe a week or two a year here and spottily other parts of the winter. I took my dad's advice to leave the hakkas and show shovel and take the back way home. Fuck that. I've driven in snow plenty, but there isn't really anything one can do about black ice or this heavy sloppy stuff that is right around freezing. Studded tires would have helped and probably prevented me from taking the 940 farming, but it was certainly a white knuckled trip back home from thanksgiving. Wished I had come home at a later or earlier date now that I know that school is cancelled .
Oh well, I am alive and fine and going to sleep.
