I guess it is time to start organizing the CVC 2010 Year end dinner.
For me this is a highlight of the year for not only CVC members (us Volvo nuts) but also spouses and like minded car enthusiasts.

This year I would like to ask for someone else to step up to organize the event, I have many family issues going on right now that are taking priority, I cannot take on any additional responsibilities.

I will help where I can, I will pass on any contacts for facilities, caterers, discounts, etc.

Any volunteers?

I hope someone can step up! We really enjoyed last years event! I would if I could, but I've got family additions happening soon!

It would be nice to get a real head count and a date.Just called a few Restaurant
friends and it will probable be in January at the earliest.
I might be able to organize but it will have to be a date carved in stone.
Options rent a hall and have it catered about 25.00 per person
Rent a hall and do a potluck 200.00 for the evening plus we'll need a clean up crew.Full use of the Kitchen .
Restaurant and that will vary depending on Menu.
Lets have a VOTE.

$25 per person someplace is easier than the rest...I'd vote that way as we have to travel.

I like what we have done for the past 3 years, rent a hall in January and have it catered. $25 per person is reasonable so Joan will plan on being there if you can make it later in January.

Thanks for taking this on Paul

Working on get a hall for the last weekend of January on a Saturday.
Menu is chicken or beef (option is salmon as well).
Any Diet restriction because this will be a Italian Menu.
Pre-payment will be required by mid december.
You can call in and pay by Visa and Mastercard.
It should be about 25-27 dollars and you bring your own beverages.
I'll supply pop and juice.
To make this work for that price we will need at least 30-35 people to for break even.
Head count pls.
Menu to be announced by Sunday.

I've found 2 Junior Chefs from S.A.I.T and they want to try and do a dinner
impossible just like the tv series.

Problem is the hall rental with kitchen access.
The menu is pretty stunning at this point.. and no shellfish to be served.
They are going to build a menu so you will have a choice but i'am sure 2nds and thirds won't be a problem.

I need somebody to help locate a hall with access to a kitchen.
I have some sponsors as well so this could go to about 200 people.

D.J will be there so bring dancing shoes.
And i'll need a Volunteer to run the Bar.

It will not be a cash bar so arrange rides or another way of transportation just in case.

Paolo.

I have a hall for backup but it's about 700.00 for the event which means an
approx increase of about 3 dollars more per plate.

We have two weeks to decide.(But i think if the sponsors come thru 23-25 is very attainable for one heck of a night)
