Well since I ran into a few old friends from here and Matt got me back in I thought it would be cool to have kind of an update on what everyone is up to!

I guess I'll start.
I got divorced right around the time I sold all my Volvo's (I shed a tear for my 544) but right after that I met my current wife, and she happened to have the same name as my first!
Since then we have had 3 kids and moved to Lethbridge.
As for cars, I still have my little truck. Someday it might hit the road again.

Cant wait to see what you guys are up to!

Welcome back, Tyler!

We should take up a poll for changing the name of this website to Lethbridge Volvo Club.

Well, the 122's been in the garage for a long time, and much progress has been made on that project. I'm currently finishing the engine and transfer swap into the 242. It's only special if you like clean builds done right. Wife still putting up with me. No need for a Site name change.

Also divorced, but that was just prior to CVC so not sure if it counts;-)

Also met a lovely lady (different name than the first!), we got married and now have our first little girl, living in Vancouver. I'm out of VOlvos at the moment, but still tinker on my parents 945. I've got the AMG bug, and I like it.

I left Hinton a while ago. I moved around the world quite a bit Turkey, Australia among things, had shit load of crazy adventures! I'm not in the divorced club because never married, but I almost got married while I working in Ukraine last year (stupid war #-o oh well, still have a chance  ), moved to Calgary last winter, working in a mine up in the canadian great north on a fly-in/fly-out schedule, currently driving a XC60. I own a new business in Calgary area. And my 740 is back in the hands of family in Quebec, currently at 517,000km =D>

Not much change outside that.

Just read the above posts...crazy!

Still working oilfield, 4 position changes in 4 years, and if the company has their way another before the end of this year, talk about changes, work downtown now though, that was a change as well, still more of a field mindset. Built a house in Cochrane, no wives/ex wives/children to speak of, just some gf's coming and going, still have my 760T but looking to sell/get rid of it, haven't driven it in 4 years and just do not have anytime for it, sad really, but it is what it is, that's what happens when you live a vastly different life than I did 10 years ago. oh edit - had a motorcycle for a few years as well, suzuki bandit 600s, really fun that bike was, hot rodded a yamaha 50cc scooter for bombing around town in as well, that was super fun! got a lot of crazy looks when going 85 km/h on a 50cc

Anyone want my car? I'll give you a great deal :)

The forum seems really quiet. When was the last time there was a gathering of the CVC?

We last got together a few years ago for a fall cruise. There are only a few active members left - we chat online and meet frequently.

Wow

I saw Jordan post on tbricks about CVC so I thought I'd check things out. Surprised to see a few recent posts here! Good to read about everyone.

Things are finally coming around and I'll be able to get deep into the car hobby again. Aside from 2 kids/wife, my latest job position will finally give me time to balance it all.

Going to build a separate garage in the back with a car hoist next year, so projects won't get crazy until that is finished. Still have my 242 (not running), 244(probably fastest it has ever been) and now a 94 940 (thanks to Jordan). Daily driving a F150 ecoboost.

I sure hope in the future there will be another Calgary get together. Another Dyno day would be cool!
