Grandson wanted a Volvo t-shirt for his birthday so I painted one for him and made a stencil to keep lines correct then decided I needed one also but made mine just white on black, not coloured like his. Thinking of doing some other designs also but just thought you might like to see what can be done with good artist acrylic and paintbrushes. Others I've made for them have been through washes for over a year now and no flaking or fading/wear. Faster and cheaper than silk-screen but have to really choose the fabric carefully. Here's the two shirts that I just did. (coloured crest a little blurry)

They're easy to do, just art acrylic and paint brushes and a little imagination. Make sure it's a cotton t-shirt or hoody though and the smoother the fabric the easier it is to apply. Fuzzy cloth makes for fuzzy edges. Polyester etc doesn't absorb the paint as well an can flake off. I drew the logo on my puter then printed and made a stencil out of it. The white one is just stencil but the coloured one I used stencil to get lines just right with a white pencil crayon which just brushes off after if any pencil lines showing. Give it a try. Let's see what kind of Volvo shirts we can put out there. Challenge!!!!!

Cool - love the idea and design. I can't accept the challenge right now due to car problems of my own making!

Not you too, Canuck. I still haven't fixed damage from black ice slide last fall and now bicycle damage including needing new windshield. Might just put it away for the winter and start again next spring. #-o #-o
