Well...the time has come to clear out the excess baggage. The 22,000km 744 arrives tomorrow and I just bought another E55T last night.

As the title says, it's an '88 244 with an M47. It's been my winter beater for the last 3 winters. I have put the following on in the last 10,000km....

Bilstein HD rear shocks
Ball joints
Tie Rod ends
Back half of the exhaust
Front and rear rotors
Battery

The odometer reads 200k and change but that's not accurate. The speedo/odometer was not working when I got the car so I swapped in a PnP piece. The old one was in miles and I believe it said 140k. The car came with some odd-sized 14" winter tires and I'm currently running some 195/65/15 Hankook winters. I'd rather not sell the car with those and I do have a couple of options available.

The car needs a couple of things to help it run better. That's not to say it doesn't run good; it could run better. I get about 400k to a tank. It needs a downpipe-manifold to cat. I've got a brand new one but haven't had a chance to put it in. I suspect it might need an O2 sensor and I've got one...I was going to put it in when I put the downpipe on.

The car has never left me stranded and I've never plugged it in. I honestly couldn't tell you if it has a block heater. I suspect it doesn't as it was sold new in West Virginia.

It's not perfect...not even pretty, but is a good solid base for someone who wants to play a bit. It doesn't burn a drop of oil. It could use a different cam as the M cam runs out of breath about 4000 rpm, but that's how it came from the factory. It's got loads of bottom-end grunt.

Asking $1200. It's not in Kijiji yet as I don't have any pictures of it yet. However, I did shoot this short video last weekend and the car shows up at the end...

How bad is the rust? If I remember correctly the '88 is the first year for galvanizing.

All I can really get from your video is that the hood has a rusty leading edge, which is not really a surprise to me, and not a problem either.

That's about it for rust. There is some showing in the drain holes on the front door, but nothing serious.

Just wondering if you have any photos yet. I might have a line on someone buying my 760 and if so I'm interested in your 244. Just want to be sure before I sell
