Dumb question Matt et al, when I first saw this car I thought GT as it's green and a 67. Was the GT BRG only, what other clues did you see for ID'ing a GT? I thought they had special fender badges, I couldn't see anything to ID as a GT, although the pics were few and poor.

ETA: Had another look, is that a GT badge beside the "Canadian" badge on the trunk lid?

123GT should have, among other things, the following visual cues...

Dash storage "tray".
Dash-mounted tachometer.
Reclining (Recaro?) bucket seats.
Fender and trunk lid badges.
123GT steering wheel

The body number stamped in the heater box will be specific to the 123GT. Can't remember off the top of my head what it will be.

I think green was likely one of the more popular colors but they also came in navy blue and red. At least 2 of them were light green. Matt has one of those.

They were built in '67, '68 and '69 and were never offered in the US. '67 was the most popular year here. The later years were mostly European delivery cars.

Thanks, Dale that's what I thought on badges although I guess they could be missing. Some interior pics would have helped a bunch. If it is a GT I wonder if the seller knows what he has, hard to say what he's placing on it for value compared to a trade for a tow truck?

Also the brake booster and the alternator are giveaways, as well as an M41 transmission. Reclining seats, tach, steering wheel, dash tray, wheel trim, and the badges. 133951 on the heater duct, and Canadian cars came with limited slip diffs but not with the extra lights and relays and fender mirrors and stuff that the 133351 GTs did.

The dark green is the most common, but the Canadian GTs came in goofy colours. Light green and medium blue are two of them.

By the way, here's the trunk badges on Dale's old GT, which match the one in the kijiji ad:

And here's the one on my car:

If it's as clean as it looks that's a pretty good deal and with all of the recent mtce. as well. Missing the stripes, but Roger on TB can supply repops. Missing the OE wheels, not they're all that nice, and the mirrors are chrome not black as original.

Hi folks,

It's been years since I've been on your forum here. I haven't seen this posted yet and I'd like to know if anyone has any opinions or insight. It's a 1964 122 Canadian in Vulcan. I know that there's a guy in Vulcan occasionally selling old Volvos but I don't know him. I might go out and see the car this weekend.
