B21FT is longest of the SOHC volvo cables. B23/230 EFI manifold is shortest, then N/A K-jet, then B21FT. Actually, I take that back...never mesured a carb 240 cable or an R-sport 16V head one.

B20 and B27 are longer still.

how do you know so much hehe?

Well...as he said, he hasn't seen a carb'd engine cable. I do believe that wins as the longest of the 4-cyl Volvo throttle cables...

Compared the b21ft cable and the other, the b21ft one is still shorter so im not sure which one it is...what engine is in the car? maybe a shorter one will still work?

Yes i've seen your cable and compared it to mine. I think the best bet is looking online http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&client=opera&rls=en&hs=pv&q=volvo+262+throttle+cable&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=M4jzSY_7AYKItAPAqKn-Cg&sa=X&oi=product_result_group&resnum=4&ct=title

Again I will suggest a universal cable as mentioned in an earlier post, they would solve your problem and are available locally.

I'm sure there is one you need in the group somewhere, we just need to know which it is. There are some 240 series cars at PnP as well and I know they all don't have the same cable.

Not saying you can't go see Irv. Some of us have had dealings with him in the past and he is, quite possibly, the least liked person around. I can't deal with his arrogance...

The guys at bert and jacks are way more helpful, for one.

Are you desperate to get this car on the road? If you wait for a bit, PNP will have a 240 turbo eventually.

Or you could try Turbobricks. I bet you could scare one up in about 15 minutes.

Try Paul at Bert & Jack's first.
