Hi all,

I'm new to this board, so I hope this is appropriate:

Last year I sold my 1968 142S, auto transmission. I originally bought it from a coworker for $250. Around $3500 later I had a pretty much rust-free reliable daily driver that looked ok from 10 paces.

I was really missing that car, so I finally tracked down the owner. He's happy to sell it back to me for $1000 (what I sold it to him for) except that in the time it took for him to get back to me I bought a 1967 122S that I'm in love with. If I could convince my wife and had the space, I'd buy it back and try to make it look really good.

I've got this guy's contact information. It makes me sad that it might get junked. The engine is strong and the brakes are new (refurbished new). The main thing it needs is to be sanded down and painted. If anything thinks they might want it, then message me and I'll give you the guys info.

Thanks!

I'm not interested...but for those who may be, where are you located? I did spy a nice green 1967 122 in Lethbridge yesterday. Was that you?

Hi, welcome to the board!! Sounds like you have your priorities straight. :D

Craig, saw the green 122 about a month ago down by Costco. Looked to be in pretty nice original condition as it went by.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm in NW Calgary, and the guy selling the car is in NE Calgary I think.

I'm glad to have found this forum. I'm about to sell a Subaru and I'm not sure what car to get instead, but there are a few Volvos on Kijiji that are interesting. I've owned 2 pre-1970 Volvos now and never a new-ish one.
