Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has a T cam they are willing to part with. I require more low end torque and switching from an A to a T cam seems to be simplest solution. I found this site that breaks down every Volvo cam for the 240's:

Anyways, if anyone knows of where I can find a T cam - please let me know. Or any other suggestions how to get the low end more responsive.

thanx

Houston

I think I've got one in a 405 head sitting on a shelf in my garage. You can have it. Have you tried playing with cam timing? Advancing that A cam 4 degrees might get you what you need and it'll breathe a little better up higher than the T cam does... I can help you out with an adjustable timing gear too...

After talking with Brad, he has suggested to get the IPD "turbo performance cam" over my idea of the T cam - hell 25 HP seems worth 200 bucks!! is anyone running this cam?

houston

Turbo Performance Camshaft
The ipd turbo performance cam provides increased power and torque on stock and modified B21FT, B23FT and B230FT engines. Compared to the stock T grind cam which starts loosing power after 5000 rpm, the ipd turbo cam keeps on pulling up through the power band. We have seen 0-60mph times on a mildly modified 240 Turbo change from around 10 seconds to just over 7 seconds and 1/4 mile times have dropped nearly 3 seconds. Expect to see an average of 15-25HP increase on intercooled cars depending on modifications.

• Cam intake lift .466” (11.95mm) intake duration 256°
• Cam Exhaust lift .466” (11.95mm) exhaust duration 256°
• Overlap – 32°
