Hey,
When my car is fired up in the morning and I turn on the lights and defrost the amps drain way down to aboutm 10! which is bad! So I need to know what new alternator amps I should get? And do they have used ones in calgary? Also when I'm driving and I have the AC on on the fan setting 4 it will be comming out full blast then the flow will die down without me touching anything and then after a few mins it kicks right back to high. If anyone has had this problem..do you have a fix?

Any help would be perfect.

Thanks
Sid

best place is calgary pick-a-part off barlow and glenmore SE. could just be that you need a new voltage regulator. that's the little thing on the back of the alternator that comes out with 2 screws. It has metal "brushes" on it that wear down after a few years and you need to replace the whole regulator. ~$100 new from dealer or get a good used one from pick your part for $10 or $20 probably.

chances are your fan problem is related to the same thing.

And welcome to the CVC!
