Hallo Its Art,
I just came home from a nice gardening 'work-out' at my parents home, thought nothing will be able to save my spring ( old, aching skeleton), but you really saved it, I'm bouncing like my little son in the bouncing castle (don't think my english is good, I'm maltreading on-line dictionaries...).
In fact, this week-end within all the mud (there's nothing better than gardening in cold, icy rain...) I played through how I could get into possession of such a trim part, I already made plans to phone some polish friends because half of the country is abroad at the moment, so I prayed for young motivated polish-natives living in Calgary who'd have liked to get the announced Bertone...

Tell me what kind of knife I can send you, I'll send it ... yesterday....
Deepest 'thank yous' from Germany, don't sell it otherwise, if you want a handmade knife, I'll take some shogun blacksmith courses, but don't loose the part!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Stefan.

Hi Stefan,

I think you have been talking to John already. Sorry about not finding the trim.

Hi,
'life's a rollercoaster', I'm trying to ride it...

Could someone give me a hint whether there's a junkyard for cars in Calgary and surroundings with an owner to trust absolutely?
I'm thinking of possibilities how to make someone buy the car submitted at kijijiCalgary, dismount (wrap off... I'm not this good in english) all the pieces that can be sent via Mail to Europe and let the car be scrapped/RIP'ed...
Thank you for the least hint, I don't know any other solution...
Stefan

I really wish I could help... If that Bertone was in Edmonton a few guys and I could do as you suggested, but we just have no way of transporting it from Calgary. :(

Hi Darren,
thanks anyway, I'll make some savings so that I can fly to Canada and buy that car.
Advice: Never buy a car that's rare in your country, hair colour changes too fast (but: grey looks awful with a black Bertone...)

Stefan, have you signed up at http://www.turbobricks.com/ yet?? Sign up and post in the Classifieds/wanted section, there are a lot of members all over the USA and the world for that matter who can help find what you need. If you sign up you could also PM "Redwood Chair", he has stuff for sale all of the time and appears to be able to source older parts.

I know it would be nice if you could get one of us to buy this other POS strip it and then cart the carcass off to the crusher, but that's alot of screwing around when we are all busy with our own screwing around. Sorry not trying to be a dick, if there was a parts car handy I know most of us would go pull and ship the couple of small pieces you need. Sign up at tbricks, you will open up your search to a far bigger audience with a far greater chance of getting your parts without all of the aforementioned screwing around.

Hi one more time,
I'm posting just while running to my son's Kindergarten (finally one word in English that doesn't cause too much mental work for me), so shortly:
I never wanted to 'engage' Volvo Forum members to do that work of buying the car, dismounting all pieces and throwing the carcass, in Germany there are (not everywhere) mechanics which would do this job if their 'rent' on the work seems 'promising', I just thought there could be a junkyard worker who offers similar 'service' to earn some bucks aside, I didn't want to post until one of you offers help without actually having the time or the nerves!!!! Buying a whole car for this purpose for a foreigner would be a certain 'challenge' not only for my good-will but also for my relationship to my son's mother.... I'm not sure if I'd be interested in testing out the ergonomic changes with an axe in the back....

I wrote a mail to 'the man' who has this piece, I'll post some pics if I one day can finish my car...!
Thanks for all the efforts!!
Stefan.

No worries Stephan, I know I speak for lots of us when I say we wish we had more time and space to do things like this!
If you have any luck convincing the owner to sell parts off his car, I can certainly pick up and ship for you

Athal
