That sounds about right...you should see our tool room and how many stupid little things there are. A lot of it are things for seals and bushings but there are some really cool ones too, I like a lot of the tools for the new I6 engines, very slick.

okay not as cool as Ian's stuff and no I havn't seen it for sale anywhere...this is homemade, I built both of these, they do the same thing, just a different size...might be easy to figure out, who knows?

Yeah, for making sling ends, holds the cable while you make up the clamps??

Edit: NVM that's a dumb guess on my part. Like Matt said for tensioning wire rope, say pulling a safety sling through on line pipe??

That is a tool used by welders to make sure pipe fitters get the pipe fit correctly. The larger one is for bigger, dumber pipe fitters.

but good guesses, Craig that made me laugh...here is the designed use...

An "engineered" wrench snipe, very useful for making up and busting flanges, hatches on tanks, wellhead connections, etc

We carry wrenches up to 2" (nut size) and have used up to 3 3/8" on some tanks
