Bert & Jacks is supposed to be good, and I've heard good things about All Makes (mostly for Subarus though). Most of us do our own work or help each other out if we've got time.
You'll be looking at the upper strut cushions (upper strut mounts, strut bearings, whatever you want to call them). DO NOT get anything but factory Volvo parts here, and they're not cheap. The aftermarket stuff don't seem to last.
The wiring harnesses are all bio-degadable until mid-88 or so, no matter how well maintained your car is. The insulation simply dissolves, and the car starts doing funny things. Some of them have been replaced over the years, and you'll know if yours is by looking at the wires coming to/from the main harness plug right behind your cylinder head. If the insulation looks solid there, the rest will be good.
