For some strange reason, I am officially the car girl at the office....good god have mercy. So when things go wrong with people's cars, they expect me to know what it is and how to fix it (or at least a good place where to fix it)

So here's the scenario. 92 civic 4-door hatchback. she's got this shuddering rattle when she turns. the sharper the turn the more it intensifies.

Ideas? also...does anyone know any decent yet inexpensive mechanics who could fix this? she works at my lawfirm, thus we are all underpaid lol

CV joint i'm thinking...if the boot is torn then damage occurs within 6 hours of driving. Look to be replacing the axle that is making the noise, possibly the other side if it is in the same shape. Parts will probably be around 200 bucks for both sides then labour but don't quote me on that.

No clue where she should go, I don't really pay attention to many shops.

I agree, CV joint is probably the problem. As for where to get it repared ... no idea, the trick is to find a good mechanic, you can go to the best shop in town but if the mechanic is NFG you will not be happy, yet the worst shop and a great mechanic will please :D
