Thanks Ben...he's booking exterior work into October now...

Guess I'd better break out the power polisher myself being as Andy's buddy at Valentine never called me back

I just booked my 940T in with him. The earliest I could get in was Nov 28-29 but I'd have to leave the car there overnight 'cause he'd only get started on it on the 28th and would have to finish up on the 29th. Instead I opted for Dec 5 so I could get same day service. The guy must be pretty good if he's booked up that far in advance.

The bad news is the car will probably be filthy by the time I get it home if there's any snow, water or slush on the roads that day. If I get lucky the roads will be bare & dry and I'll get to enjoy looking at a shiny car for a day or two. After that the car will probably look like crap 95% of the time until things dry up in the spring or early summer. Even then it'll be looking anywhere from slightly to filthy dirty most of the time. Black sux for that... Way too hard to keep clean looking. :(

For a black car they quoted me between $250 - $300. Not cheap, but then again the paint on that car needs a LOT of work. He'll have his work cut out for him alright. Given that, I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't charge me a little extra so we'll have to wait and see what the final bill is.

Then I suppose I'll look into getting the windows tinted some time in the new year...

I'm not 100% sure but I think real dark colours might cost a bit more. Likely because they show scratches and imperfections more so they take more work & time to do properly.

I'll ask them what the scoop is when I take the car in on Dec 5.
