I checked out this thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1643&start=0 for reference trying to decide on where to get the best price for parts to get my turbo beater (it's new name apparently) going. Can anyone help me out as I went to NAPA for some prices and they are obviously alot higher than FCP. Also any critique on the parts list itself would be appreciated.

Part NAPA FCP
Dist. Cap 85.29 45.00 Bosch 31.92 Bremi
Rotor 18.88 8.50 Bosch 5.99 Bremi
4, NGK 29.36 12.00 (copper) Napa quoted G, so to compare used bosch platinum @ $3 ea.
Wire set 94.44 42.89 Bosch 39.85 Bougicord
Fuel Filter 23.59 10.97
Oil Filter 9.35 4.50 Mann (I could get Baldwin at Acklands for ~$7, very good filters)
Shipping Free 25.00 (guess) If I can get WP pricing would need to factor shipping from Cgy)
Exch Free 33.23
Total 260.91 182.09

This could be better in FCP's favour as the total above is all bosch/mann vs Napa who didn't quote brands although they quoted another different dist cap and fuel filter that were 147.19 and 45.73 respectively which I am guessing were Bosch which makes an even bigger spread apples to apples.

This is what i was thinking of starting with to get it running/oil change and do a compression test before going any further, thought I would spend the extra on Bosch as they can go on my 86 if the turbo turns in to a parts car.

edit: not sure what happened to my formatting, sorry the above looks like shit...

There are at least three of us with accounts at WorldPac. I've got one at Grand Prix (the supplier for all the smaller independent parts stores) as well. I've done more than one comparison on a complete order from FCP and WorldPac has been close to the price once you factor in exchange and shipping. The only time I order from FCP is when I can't get it locally and lately that's been a little too often...

Don't waste your money on Bosch plugs or wires - get Champion or NGK plugs and Bougicord wires. Bougicord are OEM and are just better wires than Bosch.

I've never had good luck with Bosch plugs in any of my cars. They don't last very long. Not that fond of Champion either. They've never held up near as long as NGK in my cars and especially my boats. My preference by FAR is NGK. They're the best I've ever used.

Drain Plug washers x3
m46 Overdrive access cover gasket
Fuel Filter comes with gaskets?
Air filter
Distributor o-rings??

Thanks :D

Oil Filter x3 (the other car is due soon)
Drain Plug washers x3 $0.61 each

Air filter Mahle (OEM) $13.50

Thanks :D

Most items are in Calgary but I noticed one or two that weren't but I can't seem to figure out which ones now. If they are in Calgary I can get them next day. If they're in Vancouver I can get the order the following day. If I place the order by 10:30 tomorrow everything will be ready to be picked up Monday unless it's in Calgary in which case I can pick it up tomorrow after noon....

If you want me to order everything, I can. Email me at aptec (at) shaw.ca and we can work out payment stuff...

WorldPac doesn't stock them. In fact the WorldPac online catalogue doesn't list anything for a B23E...dumb American software. Paul might be able to find something through Altrom.

Volvo a little steep for your Budget?

Use these guys i dealt with them last year not to bad.

oh yeah if you order the rings tell them to ship them in an insulated envelope
and not the box shipping charges are crazy.
