When I looked at the 745T wagon for sale in Lethbridge viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1713 the owner was shown by the shop that has been working on it the trick they used to get it started. Basically they pull back the boot on the injector harness stick a wire in the ground side of the plug and then hold it against the frame. There is no guarantee of starting it this way and the engine floods very easily. What exactly is happening when you ground out the injector like this, and does this provide any clue as to what the fuel/ignition problem might be? The fuel pump and the the ECU have also been replaced, no idea if the fuel relay was checked or replaced.

grounding an injector should just open it? Probably why the engine floods easily because the injector is being held open. Sounds like a fried ECU (or whatever they are called on these cars) or a bad ground on the ECU?

If this is the case, and recognize that what I know about LH is very close to nothing, the red 740 turbo is still out at the airport PYP as of this morning (Saturday) it's pretty complete (lacks the IC now, but the turbo is still there) and I'm pretty sure the computers are there. I hear they are stashed away inside the car - but there you have it - it's some information.

Thanks Craig, I plan on getting some trim stuff like corner lights, h'light trim etc. from this car for the turbo beater when I get around to it, was hoping for a drivers fender but it's not much of an improvement from mine. Also planning on cutting out a piece of rocker panel to use to patch my hole.

I know less than you you on LH so I'm not sure how much I can use from this car as it is an 87 or 88 (I can't remember) so is LH 2.2 and the 745 is a 1990 so LH 2.4. I know I read in the chipping faq's on tbrix that the ECU's are backwards compatible so swapping up doesn't work and the PO had the ECU changed already anyways.

Passenger kick panel on the right side. Could be a couple phillips or a couple torx depending on the year
