Does anybody know a decent (fast, cheap) appraiser for old vehicles? My three motorcycles plus the 144 are on a vintage policy (cheap) and I need to have them appraised. First time the insurance company has ever asked. Volvord recommended "Appraisals by Doug" but he seems to be out of business, at least for now.

I don't need super-exact numbers (which are seldom useful anyway,) just something ballpark to keep the insurance co. happy.

Really?? maybe just on vacation??
My brother just had him appraise 2 of his vehicles within the past few months.
Fred something, cannot remember his last name (Matt, Dale do you remember) also appraises but I know his prices are crazy expensive compared to Doug's

When I inquired about vintage insurance the insurance company actually recommended a couple of appraisers. Maybe call them and ask if they have a recommendation?

Fred is the guy that drives around in that yellow chopped-top '57 Nomad and yes, I've heard he is expensive.

I got recommended this guy when I was asking around about insurance for the bmw. Never followed through so can't speak from experience. Obviously he just does the appraisal but deals with different insurers. Not sure if this is what you're looking for or not Chris.

Athal,

We charge $225.00 including GST and yes we have more than 45 insurance companies in town that we deal with. What do you use your vehicle for??? Is it a daily driver?? The reason I am asking that is because if you go with a specialty insurance they do have certain limits. If you would like to give me a call I can try and explain a little more about the specialty insurances.Last but not least if your vehicle is not very common I would say it probably would not hurt to have it appraised.
Please feel free to contact me @ 403-241-6902 so I can answer any questions that you may have.
Thanks for your interest.
