Well I finally got around to installing new shocks, spring seats, strut bearings, end links on the C70

All went well until I grabbed the rear sway bar .... it moved ... sway bars are usually very solid

this is what I discovered

My guess is that the bar has been broken since before I bought the car. It has always had a rattle in the back that I assumed was the shocks and/or shock mounts, both of which are famous for making noise. As far as handling, well I have owned well over 40 cars but only 4 have been front wheel drive, a 1967 Mini Cooper, 1981 Toyota Tercel, 1988 Honda Accord and the 1998 C70. The C70 has handled OK but the shocks have always been soft(ish) and really I had nothing to compare to.
The solution was as predicted iPd

The swaybars on this car (or any 850, 70 series) are NOT fun to replace. The rear you have to seperate the trailing arms and work around the muffler, while in the front you have to drop the engine subframe.
Well the result of the Koni FSD shocks and iPd swaybars is amazing, the car corners like it is on rails and no rattles, this is the first time any of my FWD cars have put a real smile on my face
