Our 'Christmas Special' will kick-off the New Year with a fresh relocation. Pizza and beverages will be generously supplied by Volvo of Edmonton and members are welcomed to browse the showroom with vehicles available for a test drive for those interested.

Awesome meet last night, very successful! I'm not sure how many Volvos and people attended, but it was definitely bigger this month. Volvo of Edmonton treated us superbly by supplying plenty of pizza and soda and left it with us to freely browse the showroom and take a few cars for a test drive. We never got to try out the XC60 auto-stop feature but that'll be a good one for the better weather... Plenty of good feedback on the S80 V8 and V50 T5 AWD manual, though...

Unfortunately I've been having camera battery problems recently, and the camera was on the wrong setting (too cold to play with it out there!!) but here's a few pictures;

I'll bet if you held these on a Friday night you might get some visitors from the south...

city safety on the xc60 is scary the first time you try it, but it is awesome!

Tease... Well, they have suggested in the Summer months holding the meets on a Sunday afternoon, and I think everyone seems game for that. They've also offered to support a show'n'shine for us in Summer, and in Spring I hope to organize a run from Banff to Jasper.

I've seen a few videos on city safety, it's pretty crazy... can't wait to try it, in fact, looking forward to trying out the XC60 in general as I keep reading loads of excellent reviews of it online. I personally hate SUVs, though. And 'Crossovers'. Whatever happened to good old Wagons.

Darren is now in possession of a few DVD burns of 10,700 or so of my 1960-1985 Volvo pic collection, with an emphasis on performance modification.
Might be an inducement to come out to the next meeting for a few people, he has plenty of duplicates.

I was actually meant to PM you about that... I still haven't gone through the full album... there is SO MUCH!! I reckon I'm about half-way through, just browsing every spare 30 minutes I have.

How many copies did you hand out at the meet? I should have taken some to the Calgary dinner over the weekend.
