Hello,

Does anyone know what this is? It says "Volvo" and "41" on it. It's hard to see from the crappy photo, but there are ridges or splines running along it on that fatter section.

I'm just curious. I have a few boxes of parts in my garage and this one was sitting on my workbench tonight as I was cleaning up.

ding ding ding ding, alex has it right.

:)

volvo, 41? COULD be "M41" transmission input shafts have that same amount of teeth, but I don't know. regardless, yes, it's a clutch alignment tool, it's used to hold the friction disc in place while the pressure plate is fastened to the flywheel :)

Thanks!

YOU WIN... a badly taken photo of a clutch alignment tool.

I was going to say when describing it that the splines look like drive shaft splines, so I should have put two and two together.
