I have a new set of frame rails to weld onto a 1972 1800ES. Also need to refit the two jacking points and patch small holes in the floor above these rails. Can someone recommend a person/shop that can do a decent job of it at a reasonable cost?

Well, you might as well try Janetts' 288-2717 unless someone can recommend a really good place. He has a p1800 in there now, and has done a few other Volvos. Beware of lying about how long it will take.
