Anyone know of a place locally to have parts made with a 3D printer, and specifically interested in a cupholder for a 240 that really works? I found the attached link by accident and know nothing about making parts with a 3D printer, but it looks like the best 240 cup holder solution I have seen to date.

Quick update - I've now built myself a 3D printer and I was never completely happy with the cup holders I had printed. They were printed with PLA (the standard filament of 3D printing) and the first hot spell in the car they warped beyond all reason. Also, when racing, they have to be out of the car and when the "clamps" were the right shape, they were a bear to get on and off.

So I designed my own. It's printed in ABS and should hold up to the heat. It clicks into place with authority and stays put. Only time will tell if this is a viable cup holder, but for now, it's a big improvement.

Let's give it a couple of weeks in the car to find out if it's going to be durable. Then I can crank a few out for interested club members for $10 a piece.

Sounds good, my originals drooped pretty bad in the heat as well
