well, if you're going to pay someone to do it, I know he was still interested in softening up his ride. so if you showed up with all the parts, he might do the work, and swap his (used) shocks/springs over to your car at the same time, and cut you a deal on labour. I guess the only question would be if your springs are shot or not.

That's the question. I'm pretty sure some mounts may be shot (hence a lovely clunk) but I'm not sure how to tell if the springs themselves are shot. My rear end isn't overly saggy, and I was told once by someone that springs don't die....

....(course....secondary highways...secondary highways that are ALWAYS UNDER FRIGGIN CONSTRUCTION..are probably NOT the best for suspension components)

Just a suggestion, look into the Koni FST, I put them on my C70 and I am very impressed with both the ride and the handling

I have a friend with the FST's in his 98 v70 and it feels awesome. Comfy when driving, tight when pushing hard.

Hmm. All things to take into consideration. Unlike the big things in life I'm gonna ponder and contemplate before doing. (also got windows coming in less than two weeks - one huge expense at a time!!!)
