Brickboard is down :( :( :(

Does anyone know what panel i have to remove in my '87 745ti wagon to get at the in-tank fuel pump?

I vaguely remember someone mentioning having to remove the rear seat. But i rooted around under there and couldn't see the access panel... It's not immediately obvious to me where/how to remove the unhinging panel directly behind the rear seat either.

Some help would be much appreciated!

It's thru the floor cargo hatch in back. In the 940 both panels lift up to reveal the spare tire and access hatch to fuel tank sender. In the 245 you have to remove two screws in the floor to get the cargo hatch all the way open. 745 could work either way.

According to my Haynes manual fold down the seatbacks and lift up the flap piece behind the seat backs. Remove the 3 screws that hold the flap down, then pull the flap forward and up to remove. Should be able to see the access hatch now. I can't personally confirm this, and it's from Haynes so good luck!! Oh, and installation is the reverse of removal.
