Decided to put Waldo2 (740tdi) into hibernation for this winter. Need to dig up some cash for tires, windshield and wheel alignment so shrugged my shoulders and said it can be done in the spring. Maybe I'll have saved some dough for repairs and parts by then. Sigh. Gonna miss him though, hafta share my wife's Honda Acorn for 6 months. Good thing this isn't paper I'm writing on or there would be tear drop stains also. :(

Isn't insurance taking care of the accident repair?

Yep, not too many bicyclists have coverage, only thing ticks me off is windshield went from $159 - 3 years ago to $268 now, onWaldo2. As for Waldo1, he's sitting impatiently on jacks in the garage. Already bought a bunch of new parts for him but Grandson got a new laptop for Christmas last year (sigh). He was hot and heavy about the 544 but iced up when Skype became priority. Might have to bite the bullet and try to put it together myself but hard to do 15 min at a time. That's about how long it takes for me to wear out doing something strenuous but 15 min a day or a few 15 min intervals between rests on good days, I just might get Waldo1 on the road again. My brother might help some but he's British and Japanese oriented. Might have even found a parts car for Waldo1 and he'll leave it on his land so no worries about the stupid "unused car" bylaw we have down here.

Grandson all of a sudden took an interest in Austin Mini Estate. Just need to buy oil and find a battery for it to try it out. Hope it works off the bat. He cleaned the SU and put new plugs and oil filter in it. We're gonna hafta manufacture an air cleaner housing for it tho as Micky sent down the wrong size filter and I didn't notice it til now. I'm afraid to use battery out of 740tdi cause it's almost as big as the car and when it does turn over, it might really turn the car over not just the engine.
