Not for a couple weeks yet, if they even let me on the track with my battery set up the way it is.

Call up race city and ask, the safety check is very minimal this year and is basically the following:

Is the vehicle falling apart? [] yes [] no [] maybe
Is battery nice and tight ? [] yes [] no [] maybe
Does it have tires? [] yes [] no [] maybe

:D

The battery is in the trunk mounted in a standard Volvo battery tray and clamp. Secure but not up to the standards they had. Perhaps they're a little more relaxed this year...

Not just a battery box, but also an external cutoff switch is required for all trunk-mounted batteries, and I'm not installing one.

get a gel battery and you dont have to worry about spillage
the cutoff though....i dunno, make up some story about how you had to install the system in your mothers car and your waiting on the new one to arrive.
