I know...weird...here goes again...
So the car arrived in a trailer yesterday afternoon. Hopped in and fired it up. Everything sounded as it should. Had a look around the inside. The only two things of note were the cracked dash and a broken trim piece that goes between the stereo and the cubby hole under it. Other than some fading, the car looked new inside. Seats show no signs of wear and yes, that includes the driver's seat. Door panels are unmarked. The carpet is spotless. Try all the knobs and switches and everything seems to work as it should. I see the gas gauge reads below "E" but that's not uncommon for cars coming across on the boat- they don't want any fuel in them. I also notice the temperature gauge is not working. I know a bad ground somewhere on my other 740 will cause the temperature gauge to drop to 0 when I turn the high beams on. Maybe this car suffers from the same issue.
I back the car out of the trailer and leave it running on the street and have a walk around. The only damage I see is a small nick on the passenger front corner on the bumper. The car is a bit dirty so I can't report on door dings etc until I've had a chance to clean it. Inside the trunk is like the interior of the car- spotless. There are floor mats in the trunk so that will be one reason the carpets are so clean...but the floor mats are clean too. There is a 12-disc cd changer in the trunk which is a bonus...but all 90s technology so no fancy MP3 capability or anything like that. I notice the tailpipe is much bigger than any n/a Volvo I've seen. I suspect it's from a Turbo car. I listen to the engine. Sounds like any other Volvo redblock. I rev it a bit to blow the water out of the tailpipe. No blue smoke or anything unusual. Pop the hood and have a look. It's never been cleaned. Dirty but not oily or greasy...just dirt. It'll clean up like new. Everything looks like it is where it belongs.
It has Euro headlights but clearly has a different hood than my red 740. The hood meets the corners of the grill unlike on my car where the hood extension overhangs the headlights by an inch or so. It's got that shiny fancy 760 grill on it. I think the first thing I may do is put an egg crate grill on it.
There is a sticker on the driver's door that I suspect is an oil change reminder...23,500km. The last one was at 20,520. 3000km change intervals

. I can't decipher the date though. At least it gives me some indication of how the car was treated. The tires are relatively new but are Dunlop LeMans...something I've never heard of. Not DOT, but they have lots of tread so I doubt my OOP inspection guy will give me any problems. Unfortunately they're 185/65/15 so are a little small. I have to figure out what I'm doing with all my tires/wheels so this car may get something different anyway. Likely the 16" winters I just picked up...to begin with anyway...
On to the crappy pictures...

I haven't driven it yet...just put insurance on it an hour ago.
