Hey guys, my buddy Dave and I are working on a project and are looking for donations. His mom had Alzheimer's and recently passed away from the disease. She was in a home in Sherwood Park for many years, and Dave has come up with an initiative to give back. We're helping the home develop an area in its courtyard for 3-5 vintage cars for residents. The purpose is to have a place for resident to congregate, sit and talk about memories of cars, and have 'drive-in movie' nights.
We're putting a website together right now, but it's not quite finished. When it is, I'll post the link. In the meantime...

Our Goal is Simple: Enrich the lives of our residents and their families.
By June 1, 2016, our goal is to have 3-5 classic vehicles in the courtyard at CapitalCare Strathcona and begin programming for our residents.
We will need the community to help us achieve this goal. You can:
• Donate a vehicle or weather hardy memorabilia
• Donate products or services to help us with the installation and make the grounds safe for our residents
• Donate money to help us purchase what isn’t donated
• Volunteer some time
…and then join us for the big unveiling day!
Basically we are looking for old cars that don't need an incredible amount of rust repair. They don't need any drivetrain. They just need to roll. We're assuming any care that we find will need an interior overhaul and some paint work (or possibly leave the patina depending on condition). Tax receipts will be provided.
I know the majority of folks here are from Calgary, but if anyone has a lead or two on a car that may fit the bill, please let me know.
Dave
