You sure you went through the right procedure to read codes? plug pin into socket, THEN turn key to ignition 2, then hold down button for 3+ seconds.
If that's the case, then maybe your ecu really IS fried.
Otherwise, is your base idle set correctly? disconnect/bypass the idle valve, then use the screw on the throttle assembly to set the idle at 650rpm if it's off.
obviously check all the ground connections and all that...
