So..over the weekend I am looking to through in the boost controller and the gauges. The catch is I want to do something with the intake also. When I bought the car from freakin aka matt, he had a k&n cone on it..I was wondering if anyone knew what size or type would be best, and if there is some special trick to doing it. I am hoping to have it done asap...thanks a lot

Nope, no trick. pretty much any k&N with a 2 3/4 inch inlet will fit right over the amm, though you might want to build a little bracket to support it. You can get one from mopac, but i would suggest going to autovalue, they have stock on the floor and you can just open the biggest boxes to find one with the right diameter inlet and as big a filter section as possible.

right on...sounds like a plan. I am thinking just pull the airbox, and measure the inlet, and voila? just bolt it on kind of thing

hehe i tried that. my filter is wedged between my MAF sensor and the inner quarter panel. also i dont have the correct space to make a heatshield. i am thinking about adding an elbow piece after the MAF so my cone points towards the headlights and not towards the side. this would give more room for a heatshield and it probably look nicer too :)
