It seems the law of averages has finally caught up to me.

Today when I was pressure washing all the salt & dirt off my '81 244, both of the lenses that cover the reverse lamps (5 section tail lights) came off. Funny, I've driven 240s for over 25 years and have never had one of those lenses come off on me. I know it happens all the time on those cars 'cause I've seen heaps of 'em out at Pick 'n Pull with those parts missing off the tail lights but it has never happened to me, ever. Now today both come off at nearly the same time. Life is weird sometimes.
Anyhoo, I was just wondering what type of glue it reputed to work best for reattaching those lenses to the tail light housings. Anybody successfully repaired one of those things before ? What did you use and how long did it last/has it lasted ? I don't want to use something that doesn't work too well and have those lenses fall off again when my girlfriend is driving the car all over town on her job.
Thanks in advance,
Roj
