Hi,

Recently I have encountered some things that are making me wounder. I just did some work on my car (minor) new front brakes and rotors as well as instal a block heater. Now sometimes after I have drivin my car and I pull up to park my rev's start to climb for no reason and hold at 3000 rpm? Now they dont come down unless I hammer my gas and then seem to calm down after that. Any thoughts?

Also I'm thinking of doing my starter because its starting to take too long and too many cranks for my car to turn over. Another thing I noticed is that when I put my key into the ignition and turn it just before you hit the start turn I have to wait till all my instrument lights come on and then she usually starts. Also when I'm cranking the car wont start until they appear to be lit up and then she usually starts. What you think?

Thanks and sorry for the novel.

Sid

Sounds a LOT like you've got some ground issues to deal with. Check out the 700 series maintenance FAQ on the Brickboard & have a look at all the ground repairs. 700s are notorious for goofy things happening, for instance when I run my power mirrors my rear wiper sweeps. It used to be REALLY bad before I cleaned and fixed a bunch of grounds, to the point that just about any electrical component I used inside would run the silly rear wiper.
